LIFE TOUCH is the first level of assistance that we provide for those living in Downtown Baton Rouge in the 70802 zip code.
This includes:
- Meal Bags (Mon-Fri). We give out between 25-30 bags a day, beginning at 8 am, and they usually go fast
- Hygiene Bags (Mon)
- Clothes closet/blankets (Mon-Fri)
- Computer Lab (Mon-Fri)
- Eviction Assistance Required Documentation:
- Current lease and eviction notice (both must be in renter’s name)
- Income verification (2 most recent pay stubs and/or all government assistance)
- Current picture ID
- Note: We don’t provide first month’s rent or deposit
- Utility Cut Off Assistance Required Documentation:
- Disconnect notice
- Current lease in renter’s name
- Income verification (2 most recent pay stubs and/or all government assistance)
- Current picture ID
- ID Cards Required Documentation:
- This service is provided one time per year per person
- A $5 fee is required, unless you have been recently released from prison with your discharge paperwork
- We don’t provide Birth Certificates or Drivers License
- Bus Pass Required Documentation:
- Proof of a scheduled interview for employment
- Proof of new employment orientation
- Proof of needing transportation for a pre-scheduled doctors/medical appointment
- Note: We don’t provide out of state Greyhound tickets
- TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Required Documentation:
- Proof of pending employment in Louisiana
- We provide half the cost
